Even in October there are still bright colors in the fields.

Flowers on the Farm 2013

I had thought of posting a few flower photos in the previous blog post. I soon realised though that I had too many flower photos to put in that post and so I decided to make a special post just for my flower photos. Enjoy!

Farm and Family – July to October 2013

IMG_7136

I enjoy capturing photos of the farm in all lights: sunshine

IMG_7248or shadows.

One Sunday evening the weiner pigs got out of their pasture and walked up to the house. Here we are guiding them back to their pasture with fence wire.

IMG_7408 At the end of August we took a vacation west. We spent 2 1/2 weeks traveling Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. This photo is taken on our friends farm in Manitoba.

IMG_7767 The farming in the western provinces is so much different then here on the east coast. We were all blown away  by the size of the fields and equipment.

IMG_7490 It was the first time my brothers and I saw the Rocky mountains and we were amazed by their sheer size.

Watching as within a week the garlic scapes appear and grow upwards before curling  is always a reminder of the wonder of life.

June

So once again I am posting photos taken over half a year ago. Enjoy a look back to early summer days when the farm was green.
